Objective  

Learn how to actively dissolve stubborn calcium scale buildup from your pool surfaces using Scale Treat™. This effective, no-drain solution is perfect for hard water environments.

The Danger of Calcium Scale  

Calcium scale looks like a white, crusty buildup on your pool walls, but it's more than just an eyesore. It can clog heaters, damage salt cells, and create dirty, greasy tile lines. Scale Treat™ safely breaks down this calcium without requiring you to drain your pool water. In addition to removing scale and stopping corrosion, it also acts as a powerful clarifier, giving your water a diamond sparkle that lasts for months.

Prerequisites  

  • Ensure your pool filter is clean and the pump is operational.

  • Balance your pH to the lower end of the ideal range (7.2) to help accelerate the dissolving process.

Step-by-Step Instructions  

  1. Turn on the Pump: Ensure your system is running by switching the pump to the ON position.

  2. Calculate the Dose: Review the 2 lbs. bottle of Scale Treat™ to determine the correct dosage for your pool's volume.

  3. Apply the Product: Distribute the treatment evenly around the perimeter of the pool.

  4. Brush the Scale: For heavy buildup on tiles, use a stiff pool brush to help the product penetrate the scale.

Circulate: Let the pump run continuously to clear the water and dissolve the scale.
