Objective
Learn how to safely lower your pool's pH and Alkalinity using No Mor Muriatic Acid, the premium, user-friendly alternative to hazardous liquid acids.
A Safer Way to Balance
Liquid muriatic acid is highly effective, but it produces toxic fumes, can easily splash onto your skin, and will burn holes in your clothes and pool deck. No Mor Muriatic Acid solves this problem. It is a highly refined granular dry acid (sodium bisulfate) that is just as effective as liquid acid but infinitely safer to handle. It won't spill, splash, or release choking fumes, allowing you to lower your pH and Alkalinity with total confidence and peace of mind.
Prerequisites
Know your current pH and Total Alkalinity levels.
Always handle pool chemicals with dry hands or clean gloves.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Activate the Pump: Click Start or turn your pump switch to ON to ensure rapid water movement.
Measure the Dose: Use the chart on the container to determine how much product is needed to achieve your desired pH or Alkalinity drop.
Pre-Dissolving (Optional but Recommended): For maximum safety and to protect delicate pool finishes, pre-dissolve the granules in a clean plastic bucket filled with pool water before adding it to the pool.
Apply to the Pool: Slowly pour the dissolved mixture (or broadcast the dry granules) around the deep end of the pool, avoiding the skimmer and the walls.
Circulate: Let the pump run for at least 6 hours before retesting the water.
Troubleshooting Note: Because it is highly concentrated, start with a conservative dose of No Mor Muriatic Acid. It is always easier to add a little more later than it is to correct a pH that has dropped too low!
