I used Yellow Treat and my pool can't get a chlorine reading.

Yellow Treat can sometimes interfere with chlorine readings, especially if you use too much and not enough chlorine. If that happens, don't shock. Just chlorinate as normal until the reading returns.  You shouldn't get algae in the meantime.
