How do I raise pH ?

How do I raise pH ?

To raise pH we recommend using Easy pH or if not available - Soda Ash (sodium carbonate). This will raise the pH more than the Total Alkalinity. You will need to perform a Base Demand test to accurately determine how much pH increaser you need.

We recommend you keep your pH between 7.8 and 8.2 for maintenance according to our Hamilton Index.

This table will give you a rough estimate for dosing:

pH change
Easy pH per 10,000 gallons
Soda Ash per 10,000 gallons

*In general, it is not recommended to add more than one pound of pH increaser per 10,000 gallons at one time to a pool. This may lead to staining.
