Can I swim in a pool with pink algae/bacteria/slime?
Technically yes, but we don't recommend it. Pink algae is the Serratia species of bacteria. This type of bacteria can lead to infections. If you decide to enter the water, make sure to cover all open cuts and sores to prevent infection.

Can I swim in a pool with green algae?
In general, yes: it is safe to swim with green algae. However if the algae bloom is large enough to prevent being able to see the main drain, you shouldn't swim. Poor water visibility presents a significant drowning risk.
I used Pink Treat and my pool is still cloudy.
After using Pink Treat the pool may cloud from dead algae and bacteria. Make sure to run your filter until it clears up. If it doesn't begin to improve, make sure to check your filter to make sure it is operating properly.
